Our Goats
All of our breeder stock are registered myotonic goats with the MGR and come from superior bloodlines. Our main objective is to produce goats for food consumption. In that regard, we select stock used for breeding that reflect superior muscle tone and body composition which will in turn transfer to their offspring creating the optimum meat goat. All of our goats are raised on rotating wooded pastures where they are able to forage as God intended and receive fresh hay and minerals to supplement. We use the FAMACHA chart for worming in order to increase parasite resistance on the farm. Our goats also forage on pastures where natural de-worming vegetation reside. In addition, they are also vaccinated for CD & T.
We start selling goats once weaned all the way up to meat market weight for slaughter. Whether you are looking for a quality registered doe or buck to increase the performance of your herd or a superior product for meat consumption we have what you are looking for.

Agricultural Field Trip Classes
Come join us for a tour of our farm where you will learn how the Bible connects to agriculture by exploring some of the different aspects of natural land management, the basics of goat husbandry, and sustainable living. There will also be an opportunity to feed and pet the goats!
For groups and families with children over the age of 5 we will also offer an add-on session entitled, "Behind Every Shofar" where we will incorporate a short anatomy overview of a goat's skull and talk about what the shofar is, where it comes from, it's significance in the Bible and the importance of its use still today along with a short demonstration.

Meat for Purpose
The Meat for Purpose facet of our farm actually holds a two fold objective.
First, our family has always striven to extend the grace God has shown us over the years by helping others in need. Part of what we do here at Mending Fences Farms continues to put forward that value of "giving back."
In alliance with our sister outreach initiative, Mended Heart Ministry, we also present a Meat For Purpose emergency food assistance Program to families in crisis upon referral, our discretion, and judgment based on the surrounding circumstances.
In that same vein, we believe it is important to provide a good and natural product to everyone. As grocery store prices continue to rise, it is our goal to use the resources we have to offer an alternative meat source that is high in protein, lean in fat, healthy, and easily digestible. Whether you purchase a live goat here on our farm for your own food consumption or donate to help sustain others in need, every animal serves a greater purpose.

Other Products
Here at Mending Fences Farms we strive to become self sustainable. When all the girls are laying, we will have fresh free range chicken eggs for sale.
If you happen to be passing by the farm there is a self serve egg stand where you can make a quick stop , put your money in the box, and grab a dozen eggs on the go!
We will also offer quality forage raised rabbits for meat when available.
